Eldon “Skip” Johnson, President

Skip joined the firm in 1989 as Vice President of construction and within a year he took

over as owner. Prior to the Cal Select venture, Skip was a Senior Construction

Manager for Taco Bell Corporate managing the west coast development pipeline. Cal

Select has since completed over 150+ Taco Bells in Nevada, California and even two in

Guam – a particularly challenging logistical feat given the shipping and timing issues

given that all the building materials had to originate from the mainland US. He has

completed various ground up and tenant improvement restaurant concepts including

Burger King, Carl’s Jr, Mimi’s, KFC, Miguel’s Jr., Outback, Panera, Buca di Peppo, Auto

Zone, Coco’s, 24-Hour Fitness, Pick Up Stix, Pei Wei, Eos Fitness, Pizza Hut and

multiple strip shopping centers throughout Nevada, California, Arizona, Oregon and

Washington.

Ryan Johnson, Vice President

Ryan joined Cal Select in 1991 as a field laborer and glorified gopher. Within two years

he progressed to Jr. Superintendent and eventually jobsite Superintendent for 60+ Taco

Bell’s, Carl’s Jr’s, Yoshinoya’s, Wendy’s and Outback’s construction and refresh

packages that included new acoustical ceilings, seating packages, lightings,

painting/wall coverings, tile, flooring, partition walls, ADA compliance upgrades,

bathroom fixtures and install of owner’s equipment all while daytime operations and

drive thru’s remained operational. During this time, he pursued and acquired at night

GC License for Arizona, Nevada and Florida. He currently runs operations for the firm

and acts as Lead Project Manager focused on growth and new clients including

Exponential Fitness, Eos Fitness, UFC Gyms, Yogasix, StretchLab, Club Pilates, and

Pure Barre among others.

David Armijo, Project Manager

David joined the firm in 2006 as an Asset Manager overseeing multiple clients,

scheduling, estimating, budgeting and project management. Clients include Outback

Steakhouse, EOS Fitness, LA Fitness, Pollo Campero, Taco Bell, Toy R Us, Yard

House, Crunch Fitness and 24-Hour Fitness. He graduated from Cal State Fullerton

with a Masters of Arts degree of Communications in 2001. He is fluent and active with

various construction management and construction document tracking and editing

software - ProCore Project Management, MS Project Scheduling, Excel, and Blue

Beam.

Mike Taylor, Director of Superintendent

Mike joined the in 2015 as a Superintendent working on 24-Fitnesses, Pollo Campero,

Eos Fitness, UFC Gyms, Kids R Us, Exponential Fitness Studios and Chipotle shell.

Mike is an active journeyman electrician, and he got his journeymen electrician card

from ABC in 2010. Prior to joining the Cal Select he was an Electrical Supervisor for

Circuit Electric for over 13 years. During his time there he worked extensively on

Chipotle, Taco Bell, Carl’s Jr, Sizzler, Panera Bread, Pei Wei, Island Burgers, Bubba

Gump Shrimp, PF Change’s and Yardhouse among others. Mike is active with ProCore

and Excel software.

Gayle Newton, CFO & Business Manager

Gayle joined the team in 1995, as the Controller and Business Manager. She has been

in construction accounting and financial management since 1983. She oversees the

day-to-day contract procurement, accounts payable & receivables, purchase orders, lien

releases, payroll & human resources for the firm. She has her accounting and business

degree from Arizona State university.
